Signing up asks for three things: a name, an e-mail address and a password. Nothing else, and no card details: the Free plan is not something you subscribe to, it is where you land.

Confirming your address

Once you have signed up, Kalepio sends you an e-mail with a link in it. Until you follow it, you cannot get into the application.

That is not a formality. Your address is where your clients' notifications arrive, and one mistyped at sign-up is a notification nobody receives for weeks with nothing anywhere to say so.

If the e-mail does not turn up:

• Look in the spam folder. It is almost always there.
• Check the address shown on the confirmation page, character by character.
• Ask for another one from that same page.

If a colleague invited you

Sign up with the exact address the invitation was sent to. Kalepio matches the two on its own: you land straight inside your colleague's studio, with its services, its clients and its orders, and the setup wizard is never offered to you.

It is the address that matters rather than the link. Whether you follow the one in the e-mail or go to the sign-up page yourself, the result is the same. An expired invitation, on the other hand, is not an invitation: you will get an ordinary account, and somebody will have to send you a new one.

One account, several studios

Your account belongs to no studio. You can run your own and be invited into somebody else's, and move between them from the switcher at the top of the navigation. Your sign-in, your password and your two-factor setup follow you everywhere.
