Terms and conditions

The rules of the service, in the plainest terms we can manage.

What the service does

Kalepio lets you prepare questions, send them to your clients through a link, follow each job, ask to be paid for it and hand over what you have produced. It is sold by subscription, and a free formula exists.

Your account

You must be of age and acting in a professional capacity. The information you give when signing up must be accurate, and you are responsible for what happens under your account: keep your password to yourself, and turn on the second factor if several people work with you.

You invite whoever you like into your workspace and you decide what each of them can do there. What those people do binds you as though you had done it yourself.

What you put in stays yours

Your questions, your files, your copy, your logo and your clients' answers belong to you. We acquire no right over them, beyond the strictly technical one of storing and displaying them in order to run the service.

You undertake not to upload unlawful content, nor content you have no right to use. You remain responsible for what you ask your clients and for how you handle their answers.

Paying, and stopping paying

The subscription is taken out and managed at Stripe: changing formula, updating a card, fetching an invoice or cancelling all happen in the billing portal. Prices shown exclude tax unless stated otherwise.

A formula you are subscribed to does not change under your feet. If we change a formula, your subscription carries on with the version you took out.

Cancelling erases nothing: you keep your workspace and your files, and you move back onto the free formula. After a grace period, colleagues beyond what that formula allows can no longer open this workspace. Never their own account, and never their other workspaces.

Your clients' payments

When you ask a client for a payment, the money goes straight into your own Stripe account. You are the merchant, you alone, with your own terms of sale and your own invoices. We are neither the seller nor a payment intermediary, and a dispute with your client is settled between the two of you.

A platform commission may apply depending on your formula. It is fixed at the moment the payment link is created and is stated in your formula.

Availability

We run the service as well as we can, without promising it will be available without interruption: maintenance, a failure at our host or an outage at Stripe can all stop it. We guarantee no time to restore.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for the commercial consequences of an outage, of a mistake in what you typed, or of a disagreement with one of your clients. What does remain our responsibility is limited to the amounts you have paid us over the last twelve months.

Ending the relationship

You can leave whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that does not respect these terms, having warned you first unless the law or a plain abuse prevents it, and you will then be able to retrieve your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
