Your studio's identity

The name, the public address, the colour and the logo: what your client sees, and where to change it.

3 minute read

Everything a client sees of you is set in one place: Studio settings → Identity.

The name

Shown at the top of every form, every tracking page and your public page. You can change it whenever you like: it breaks no links.

The two addresses

Kalepio keeps two, and only one of them is a setting.

Address What it is for
The internal one It appears in your dashboard's URL. Derived from your name, it concerns you and your colleagues only, and there is nothing to do about it.
The public one This is kalep.io/your-studio, the address you hand out and the one leading to your catalogue. It is the one on the form above.

Changing the public address breaks links already shared. An address printed on a sticker or pasted into a bio cannot be recalled, and nobody will tell you it now leads nowhere. If you really have to change it, do it early and warn whoever wrote it down.

Links sent to a particular client survive it: a brief and a tracking page are found by a key of their own rather than by the studio's name. Renaming your studio sends nobody to an error page.

Some addresses are unavailable: the ones that would collide with a Kalepio page, and the ones that could pass for an official account.

The colour and the logo

The colour is used for buttons and headings on everything your client opens. The logo sits at the top of their pages.

Both are set on this same page, with a live preview.

A change applies to what you send from now on. Orders already open keep the colour they had: a client halfway through a brief does not watch it change hue while they answer, and a job from last year stays as they saw it.

Do not look for these on your public page settings: that screen carries what is shown on your shop window, the banner, the gallery and the testimonials. What you say about yourself is here.

The words and the contact details

Also on this page: your public page's title, its one-liner, your presentation, your website, your Instagram handle and a contact e-mail.

That last one is the address a client writes to when they have no order open yet, and so no conversation to reach you through.

The line that sorts all of this is simple: what your studio says about itself is here; what is shown on its shop window is on the public page settings.
