Have the graphics kit brief filled in before you open the template

Make, model, year, race number, sponsor logos: the questions go out in one link, and your client answers from their phone.
The template is chosen on three things nobody volunteers: the make, the model and the year. A client who writes “my 250” leaves you a choice of four cuts, and the one you guess at shows on the first test fit. Then come the race number, the parts actually being covered, and the sponsor logos in vector. Four rounds of messages for answers that fit in five lines.

This is a suggestion, not a standard. We do not do your job: this list is a starting point, to be added to, cut down and rephrased to suit the way you work.

The questions

14 questions. A full kit for a bike, quad or jet ski. Five minutes of brief.

The machine

To draw a kit to the right dimensions, I need to know what you ride.

  1. What would you like to cover?

What is being covered · Required

    The answers offered:

    • Motocross
    • Enduro
    • Trials
    • Pit bike
    • Quad
    • Jet ski
    • Helmet
  2. Make and model

    Short text · Required

For example: Yamaha YZ 250F, KTM SX-F 450, Sherco SE 300.

  3. Model year

    Number · Required

The year is essential: the plastics change from one generation to the next.

  4. Are your plastics the original ones?

    Dropdown · Optional

Aftermarket plastics do not have quite the same cutouts, so the kit is traced differently.

    The answers offered:

    • Yes, original plastics
    • No, aftermarket plastics (Polisport, UFO, Acerbis and so on)
    • I do not know
  5. Race number

    Short text · Optional

Leave it empty if you do not race.

  6. Name or nickname to print

    Short text · Optional

The name that will appear on the kit. Leave it empty if you do not want one.

The style

Your colours and the parts to be covered.

  1. Main colour

    Colour · Required

  2. Second colour

    Colour · Optional

It will be used for the pinstripes and the outlines of the numbers.

  3. Parts to cover

    Multiple choice · Required

Tick everything you want covered: the quote depends on it.

    The answers offered:

    • Front mudguard
    • Rear mudguard
    • Radiator shrouds
    • Side number boards
    • Front or headlight board
    • Fuel tank
    • Fork guards
    • Sump guard

Your material

  1. Your sponsors' logos

    File · Optional

Vector formats for preference (ai, eps, pdf, svg). A high-resolution PNG can do.

  2. Visual references or inspiration

    Long text · Optional

Describe what you like, or paste Instagram / Pinterest links.

And finally

Your deadline, and anything that did not fit the questions above.

  1. When do you need it?

    Dropdown · Required

    The answers offered:

    • As soon as possible
    • Within 2 weeks
    • Within a month
    • No particular deadline
  2. Anything you would like to add?

    Long text · Optional

A constraint, a question, a detail I ought to bear in mind.

  3. Any other files to attach

    File · Optional

On top of what is asked for above: screenshots, sketches, documents. HEIC from an iPhone is fine.

The colours to offer

A client who writes “blue” and a studio who reads “blue” are not talking about the same colour. A list of shades settles it straight away.
  • Black
  • White
  • Racing red
  • KTM orange
  • Fluoro yellow
  • Kawasaki green
  • Yamaha blue
  • Purple

How it works

  1. 1

    You pick your trade

When you sign up, and the questions on this page are already in your account. You cut them down, add to them and rephrase them: nothing is fixed.

  2. 2

    You send one link

Your client answers from their phone, when they can, and uploads their files. They install nothing, create no account and choose no password.

  3. 3

What follows stays in one place

The conversation, the chasing, the later rounds of questions, the deposit and the balance, and the delivery of the files, which can open on its own once the payment settles.

What it costs

Free up to five orders a month, with no card and no time limit. Past that a paid plan takes over, and nothing about the way you work changes.

Frequently asked questions

What should you ask before designing a graphics kit?
The make, the model and the year of the machine, because the template depends on all three. Then the race number, the parts to cover (mudguards, number plates, shrouds, swingarm), the sponsor logos in vector and the colours to keep to.
How do you get sponsor logos in vector format?
By asking for them in the brief, with the accepted extensions written beside the field. A client who reads “.ai, .eps or .pdf” goes and finds the right file; a client asked for “the logo” sends a screenshot from Instagram.
