The wrapping brief, filled in before the vehicle reaches the workshop

Vehicle and year, factory colour, finish, panels to cover: everything that decides the price, asked once in a single link.
A wrap is quoted on the exact model and the year, because two model years of the same vehicle do not have the same surface area. The factory colour decides what shows in the recesses, the finish decides the price per metre, and “the car, you know” answers none of the three. The client does not know these questions exist: asking them is your job, and asking them only once is the point.

This is a suggestion, not a standard. We do not do your job: this list is a starting point, to be added to, cut down and rephrased to suit the way you work.

The questions

14 questions. Full or partial wraps, any vehicle. Five minutes of brief.

The vehicle

The area to cover depends entirely on the model, and so does the quote.

Before the appointment

Film goes onto sound bodywork, and the vehicle stays with us for several days.

  1. Scratches, chips or paint repairs

    Long text · Optional

Tell me what you know about: a flaw shows through the film.

  2. Photos of the vehicle

    File · Optional

All four sides, outdoors. That is what lets me quote without you driving over.

  3. Can you leave the vehicle with us for several days?

    Dropdown · Optional

Allow 2 to 5 days depending on the area. The film needs time and a temperature-controlled unit.

    The answers offered:

    • Yes, no problem
    • Yes, if you have a courtesy vehicle
    • No, I need it every day

And finally

Your deadline, and anything that did not fit the questions above.

  1. When do you need it?

    The answers offered:

    • As soon as possible
    • Within 2 weeks
    • Within a month
    • No particular deadline
  2. Anything you would like to add?

    Long text · Optional

A constraint, a question, a detail I ought to bear in mind.

  3. Any other files to attach

    File · Optional

On top of what is asked for above: screenshots, sketches, documents. HEIC from an iPhone is fine.

The colours to offer

A client who writes “blue” and a studio who reads “blue” are not talking about the same colour. A list of shades settles it straight away.
  • Black
  • White
  • Satin black
  • Nardo grey
  • Deep red
  • Sapphire blue
  • British racing green
  • Bronze gold

How it works

  1. 1

    You pick your trade

When you sign up, and the questions on this page are already in your account. You cut them down, add to them and rephrase them: nothing is fixed.

  2. 2

    You send one link

Your client answers from their phone, when they can, and uploads their files. They install nothing, create no account and choose no password.

  3. 3

What follows stays in one place

The conversation, the chasing, the later rounds of questions, the deposit and the balance, and the delivery of the files, which can open on its own once the payment settles.

What it costs

Free up to five orders a month, with no card and no time limit. Past that a paid plan takes over, and nothing about the way you work changes.

Frequently asked questions

What should you ask before quoting a vehicle wrap?
The vehicle and its year, its factory colour, the finish wanted (gloss, matte, satin, partial wrap), the panels to cover, and whether the plate should be hidden in the photographs. Those six answers are enough to price the job without a visit.
Should you ask for photographs of the vehicle?
Yes, and say which ones: four photographs, all four sides, outdoors. A file field with that sentence beside it brings back usable pictures. “Send some photos” brings back a three-quarter shot taken in an underground car park.
